The game is offered as an in-app purchase within the Recreated ZX Spectrum app, priced at £2.99. This app also features additional ZX Spectrum titles and includes support for Sinclair BASIC. For those preferring a standalone experience, Manic Miner: ZX Spectrum is available separately but will not include other ZX Spectrum games.

Players navigate these caverns, collecting blinking objects while managing Willy’s oxygen supply. Upon collecting all items in one cavern, players transition through a flashing portal to continue their adventure. Throughout gameplay, players must evade various enemies such as Poisonous Pansies and Manic Mining Robots, while also avoiding fatal falls from heights. The challenge persists until all lives are lost; extra lives are awarded every 10,000 points scored.
